What is a FirstDIBZ “Consumer Seller” market?
For the first time ever, FirstDIBZ has created a marketplace for the sale of forward rights (“DIBZ”) to all potential Playoff games FOR EVERY TEAM in each of the major professional sports (MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL). These markets are made possible by Season Ticket holders who sell their rights to specific Home Games of the Playoffs and/or Championship Rounds (World Series, Super Bowl, NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final).
Upon completion of the Sellers Agreement, season ticket holders select the playoff home game(s) and quantity of ticket rights they wish to create DIBZ for in the marketplace. Sellers set the price at which buyers can purchase their DIBZ. What makes this market truly unique is that sellers can make money on the sale of their DIBZ - EVEN IF THE GAMES ARE NEVER PLAYED!
How does the FirstDIBZ “Consumer Seller” market actually work?
For example, let’s say a Red Sox season ticket holder wants to sell DIBZ on his 4 tickets for World Series Home Game 1. He would create 4 DIBZ – one for each ticket. Perhaps the seller hopes to receive $500 for each of his DIBZ. Red Sox fans can then come into the marketplace and buy DIBZ on those 4 seats at any time before the Red Sox are eliminated, or the market is closed.
Now, let’s say a fan purchases all 4 of the seller’s World Series Home Game 1 DIBZ at the set price of $500 each. Whether or not the Red Sox actually even make the playoffs, the seller receives $2,000 (less 10% transaction fee) or $1,800 in profit realized from selling his Red Sox ticket rights!
If I sell DIBZ for a large quantity of tickets, can they be purchased in smaller quantities?
YES! Buyers may purchase in any quantity as long as the seller isn’t left with 1 single DIBZ. As most tickets sell in pairs, this insures that if a portion of the seller’s DIBZ don’t sell, he will at the very least have a pair of tickets returned to him.
Can I specify my block of DIBZ NOT be “broken-up” into smaller sets?
NO. At the point your DIBZ markets are created, buyers can purchase your DIBZ in any combination except that which would leave you with 1 single DIBZ. For example, let’s say you create 4 DIBZ for the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship. “Joe Pats Fan” then decides to buy 2 of your DIBZ, leaving you with a pair left for sale in the market. Subsequent buyers would only have the option to buy the remaining 2 (not 1, which would only leave you with 1).
What should I do with my tickets once the team prints playoff strips?
MLB - Once a team appears close to clinching a playoff spot, playoff tickets for home games will be printed and distributed out to season ticket holders (approximately Sept. 15). For sellers with DIBZ in a market that has previously been created, the actual tickets must be sent to FirstDIBZ within 10 days of the date the tickets are released, or the market(s) for those seats will be closed. For sellers who are placing DIBZ into the market AFTER the team’s expected playoff ticket release date, tickets must be sent to FirstDIBZ immediately after the market is created.

If my DIBZ sell, what happens to the Purchase Money?
All Purchase Money and Face-Value money will be held and marked as pending by FirstDIBZ until one of the following two scenarios occurs: (1) Receipt of Tickets – once tickets for all teams from a given market (i.e. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) are received by FirstDIBZ, or FirstDIBZ has confirmation that all the Tickets have been received by all of the Buyers, all proceeds from sales of the DIBZ and tickets will be released in the initial Sellers account ; or (2) All teams from a given market have been eliminated from the playoffs.
Once FirstDIBZ releases the Purchase Money in your account, you may make a permitted withdrawal at any time. A check for the amount of the withdrawal will be mailed within 15 business days.
Can my DIBZ trade more than once?
Yes. In fact, should a team make a deep run into the playoffs, your DIBZ may trade several times in the FirstDIBZ marketplace. However, the original seller is entitled ONLY to the proceeds from the initial sale, less the transaction fee.
What are the minimum/maximum quantities of DIBZ I can create?
No minimum or maximum.
Can I remove my DIBZ once I’ve created a market?
Yes. Sellers have the right to cancel an “offer to sell” in the marketplace at any time up until the point an actual order transacts. If an order transacted, the seller effectively sold his ticket rights to the initial buyer, and no refunds can be granted.
What if my tickets sell through another source?
If the tickets for which you’ve created DIBZ markets sell via another source, it is your responsibility to cancel your “offers to sell” immediately. Failure to do so will require you to provide comparable or better seats to the buyer in the event that they purchase your DIBZ from the marketplace.
Is there a cut-off date for having DIBZ for sale in the market?
Please note that all markets will be automatically closed 2 business days prior to a team’s Playoff Home Game if FirstDIBZ doesn’t have those particular game tickets in hand. Contact our Customer Service team for assistance with your DIBZ order.
What is the face-value of the tickets?
FirstDIBZ charges face-value (actual price printed on the ticket) to the end buyer of the tickets at the point a market succeeds. Tickets will not be shipped to the buyer until face-value has been successfully charged. Once a particular playoff round has concluded, FirstDIBZ will credit the face-value charge to the creator as a separate credit to their wallet.
What are the transaction fees in the Playoff market?
7% buyer, 10% seller, $5 minimum
What is the ticket fulfillment process if a game occurs?
MLB – Sellers must ship ALL TICKETS to FirstDIBZ. If a team advances to a specific Playoff Home Game for which you sold DIBZ, FirstDIBZ will charge the end Buyer for the face-value of the tickets (a separate charge over and above the price they paid for their DIBZ). Once this transaction has processed successfully, FirstDIBZ will either ship your tickets to the buyer via guaranteed overnight delivery (Fed-Ex), or provide will-call service in close proximity to the Home Team’s stadium.
NFL, NBA & NHL – Fulfillment details TBD.
